Young Iranian American Shirin is experiencing something of an identity crisis. Having just broken up with her girlfriend Maxine, Shirin, a closeted bisexual, searches for new meaning in her life and agonises over coming out to her rather overwhelming family! There follow a couple of sexual encounters and a new job, stangely enough teaching filmmaking to a class of 5 year old boys, all of which have their moments of hilarity! As Shirin relentlessly moves on with her life, flashbacks to her doomed relationship with Maxine keep interrupting, revealing how much she still has to come to terms with her recent past. “Appropriate Behaviour” is quirky and touching and scattered with some painful truths along the way.
