Vulnerable factory worker Sandra is faced with a dilemma. After some time off work suffering from depression she discovers that, in her absence, her job has been axed. The factory boss had offered her co-workers the opportunity of a 1,000 Euro bonus if Sandra were dropped from the workforce. A majority agreed to this course of action. After pleading her case Sandra is allowed by her boss to organise another ballot, this time a secret one. She has the weekend to visit her co-workers in their homes to try and persuade them to support her. However, in bleak economic times, how likely is it that solidarity will win out over self-interest? Another deeply felt, thought provoking film from the directors of “The Kid with a Bike”.
