28 October – Petite Maman

Is it a ghost story? Is it a parable? Is it what it seems?

A young girl coming to terms with the death of her grandmother builds a treehouse and meets a new friend in a film about memory, connection and kin.

11 November – After Love
2020, UK, director Aleem Khan, starring Joanna Scanlon, 89 minutes, cert: 12a

A tale of secrets and lies, a portrait of people caught between identities as an
English widow uncovers her husband’s secret existence in France. Is anyone what they seem?

25 November – The Quiet Girl
2022, Ireland, director Colm Bairéad, starring Catherine Clinch, 94 minutes, cert: 12a

A quiet neglected child blooms when sent away to relatives but in her new home things are not what they seem. Be aware, this film contains scenes of dramatic rhubarb.

The season will continue in February and March next year with four more films, details of which will be announced later.
