The screen vibrates with the exuberance of youth in Sasha Nathwani’s heartfelt London-set début film. It centres on Ziba, a British/Iranian teenager and her eclectic mix of friends celebrating their A level results day. Ziba has done exceptionally well and has a place at UCL to read astrophysics. She is determined to make the day special and has it all meticulously planned out, even to the extent of having a printed itinerary, with activities in various parts of the capital. Whatever life has in store for the group of friends, and some of them, in quieter moments, do allude to issues in their wider lives, it is above all Ziba who harbours a secret that she’s determined to keep to herself.
