This critically acclaimed adult stop-motion animation feature from Australia is a tragi -comic tale of the trials and tribulations experienced from childhood to adulthood by snail-obsessed misfit Grace Pudel. Orphaned at an early age, Grace and her twin brother Gilbert are dispatched to separate foster families in different parts of the country. Very upset at being separated from her twin, Grace seems to stagger through life from one misfortune to the next. However, light does eventually appear at the end of the tunnel just when she is at her lowest ebb, leading to a touching and life-affirming conclusion.
